Thomas M Gramling, CPA
Dynamic and personable problem solver. I have been a CPA since 2000 and over 2 decades of successful "C" level real-world experience in various industries. My clients will testify that I provide superior service. I have a passion for small businesses and can offer general business consulting services as well as organizational startup, fractional CFO services, accounting, business taxes, and individual taxes.
I graduated at the top of my class from the University of Wisconsin's accounting program and passed the CPA exam a year later. After spending 3 years at a "Big Four" Accounting Firm (formerly Big Six) in Milwaukee, I made the decision to join one of Denver's premier accounting firms, Anton Collins Mitchell (f/k/a BDO Seidman LLP-Denver) An opportunity was presented to me and in 2004 I became the CFO of an international engineering and industrial manufacturing company in Denver, and later was promoted to President in 2009. In 2018 after 9 years of record growth in revenue and profitability, all while maintaining a fantastic culture, I decided to focus on building my own accounting and small business consulting firm, helping small businesses succeed.
I started Thomas Gramling, CPA in 2004 as a side business to serve the local market primarily for business and individual taxes, answering the needs of friends to start, but continuing to organically grow. As our client base increased, a number of clients requested auditing services for small NPO (non-profit organizations) as well as mortgage brokerages, and we saw the demand for our services increase in areas of small business consulting. I have assisted in many startups and understand the stresses that come with owning your own company, and love taking part in the creation of new ventures. Once the firm really began to grow, I finally made the commitment to leave the corporate world and focus full time on my own business.
Aside from work I love giving back to my local community and actively serve in several areas. I enjoy serving in my local church, I have been a treasurer/board member for the Colorado Trail Foundation, and I also volunteered on ski patrol at Loveland Mountain in Colorado, where I frequently snowboarded.
Personally I have 3 daughters who I love to watch dance competitively, and enjoy biking, skiing, golfing and playing tennis.
